Project teams rarely work in one place. Tools to support project teams should therefore give everyone in the team access to the common working environment - whenever, wherever, from whatever device.
Mobile devices and mobile work are the rule in everyday project work. Teams rarely consist only of stationary users who all work at the same location and exchange their results in meeting rooms or pin them to the walls of project offices. Project planning and project results are created across locations, from the home office or on the road; external and internal team members must exchange specifications and results securely and in a controlled manner. Mobile access to project data is becoming more and more important and helps to avoid wasting scarce resources by constantly reconciling decentrally generated data.
Productivity through cooperation and communication
The use of platform-independent electronic collaboration supporters is virtually indispensable for communication and collaboration in the project. However, their use is particularly difficult to implement if you don't want to use any of the numerous cloud offerings - e.g. because in projects not only status or hours are reported back, but sensitive data is created that you would rather know in your own data center or in the private cloud.
